Chef Cooks Up Support for United Saints

Chef Jeff SelvigJeff Selvig, Executive Chef of Hotel Pére Marqutte in Peoria, Illinois, is helping to cook up support for the United Saints before Mardi Gras. From February 3 – 10, Chef Jeff will assist the continued rebuilding efforts in New Orleans. This trip will require Selvig to pack both his knives and his tool kit, as he will cook for volunteers and work on houses.

Back in Peoria, Selvig is known for giving the locals a taste of New Orleans favorites like crawfish, softshell crab, and Cajun chicken. He attended Chicago’s Washburne Culinary Institute, and he serves up a mix of American classics alongside Continental cuisine at Carnegie 501.
