The United Saints Recovery Project is preparing to mobilize in response to Hurricane Isaac. Right now the Tuscaloosa office is gathering tools and supplies, while the New Orleans office is partnering with other nonprofits and organizations preparing for the storm. ”We have been in touch with the VOAD rep. at the emergency operations center in Baton Rouge, LA (GOHSEP) and we will be working with them as needed, ” remarked New Orleans staff.
There are three ways to help United Saints in this disaster response. First, the main priority is donation of monetary funds. You can do so through our website by clicking on the link “Donate Now.” Secondly, interested volunteers can email us at: volunteer@unitedsaints.org or call 205-523-5557. Lastly, equipment is needed, including: generators, chainsaws, roofing supplies (tarps, nail guns, etc.) and gift cards (gas, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc.).
