Thank you all for the kind words. It truly was a pleasure working with and cooking for such gracious people. The memories I aquired while there will never be forgotten nor will the people that treated me like family. Such a special group of people keeps phrases like this bringing smiles to my face still…”this is London Calling”, “I’m the messiah of Jambalaya”, “chef Jeff in da house”, “can I cook with you tomorrow”, “I love strawberry shortcake”, “Brownies and ice cream is the best”, “I wish I had my mom’s mac and cheeese”, “did you go to the parade?”, “my brain’s been pickled”, “the consistancy of this soup is absolutely wonderful” oh and of course “thank you, thank you, thank you for the great food”. Keep up the good work and stay cool, I’ll miss all of you.

Chef Jeff is one of the hardest working men i have ever met. And i know he is down in New Orleans doing everything in is power to help out the city. UnitedSaints is lucky to have someone with such a big heart, and hopefully he will have opened the eyes of others and inspired them to do things to help out those in need.. The world could use a lot more Chef Jeff’s!!!! I would Be there helping if i could but someone has to keep Chef’s kitchen running.

Chef,your like a machine… Work all day and cook all night.The United Saints are lucky to have a man like you down there helping them out. Just be careful because if your working even half as hard down there as you do up here,they are liable not to let you leave… We are all proud of you Chef,keep up the good work,but try to get some rest..

Somehow even when I yell out Who-Dat! they know I’m not from here. I’m not really sure how but it’s kind of cool still. It’s just another way to greet the people in this entertaining part of the states! I was told today that it’s been a saying from way back in the day and has become a statement that has brought the people together in support for the local football team. Having a good time even while working. During off time I’ve been able to catch many parades. Yes they are plentiful around here and you are always likely to get a gift if you go.
I have several invites to go watch the game tomorrow, it ought to be an experience of a lifetime.
