Job Description: Construction Site Supervisor

Location: Tuscaloosa, Ala.

The United Saints Recovery Project is seeking a Construction Site Supervisor.

The Construction Site Supervisor responsibilities include: construction repairs to homes affected by a disaster, leading volunteers on a construction site in both safety and skill training, assess potential projects, pricing, purchasing and delivering of tools, equipment and building supplies to worksites, and management of our tools and equipment. This position requires a construction or trade background and are capable of leading groups of unskilled volunteers on work sites. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license.

Member Duties:

Member will scope work on potential projects.

Conduct tool and site safety training with each group of volunteers.

Conduct site orientation with each group of volunteers.

Direct volunteers on proper use of safety equipment and shut down projects if safety directives are not followed.

Supervise site clean-up each day on project.

When there are no volunteers, the Project Team Leads will be a team of highly trained and skilled members able to complete construction projects that are not ideal for volunteer groups.

Skills:

Construction – roofing, gutter repair, siding, sheet rock and drywall repair/installation, priming, painting, flooring, debris removal.

Communication, Teaching, Conflict Resolution, Management, Public Speaking

Compensation: Site Supervisors will receive pay based on days worked.
