Mr. Anthony

Mr. Anthony, a life-long resident of New Orleans, recently inherited his house from his Aunt who lived in the home for 40 years prior to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In the aftermath of Katrina, the house sustained six feet of flooding as well as considerable roof damage. Due to water damage, the house will have to be fully rebuilt.

Mr. Anthony has been working on gutting the house by himself in his spare time. He has been looking into the electrical and plumbing costs and is hopeful that the rebuilding will not be too challenging. Volunteers from the United Saints Recovery Project will assist Mr. Raymond with gutting the interior of the house as well as repair the back roof. This is his first project with the United Saints.

Mr. Anthony evacuated to Texas for Hurricane Katrina and did not like living outside of New Orleans, so he decided to move back in 2009. This will be the first owned home for Mr. Anthony’s family, including his eight-month old son. He is looking forward to having a permanent residence in New Orleans for his family.
