Rev. Jackson’s church was badly damaged by hurricane Katrina, but with little money and volunteer resources there were a limit to what he could accomplish. Jackson’s church is located around the corner from United Saints, so there was a definite opportunity to help brighten our community by partnering with Rev. Jackson to work on this small community church. United Saints, with the help of volunteers were able to do some minor exterior repairs, pressure wash, scrape, and completely re-paint the church. What was once a building that looked run-down and abandoned, is now a ray of sunshine on the corner of Barronne, and Phillip.
